Speaking from his native Portugal yesterday, Real Madrid goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro discussed the current situation at the club and maintained that José Mourinho would continue as coach, despite their poor league form and the tense atmosphere this has caused at the club.
In an interview with the Portuguese newspaper 'Record', Louro confirmed that Mourinho and his backroom team would be staying on at the Santiago Bernabéu, saying: "Our contract runs until 2016".
While he admitted that the team's title chances were now all but gone, he remained optimistic about the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
"There's not much to say about the league now...
"But we have to recharge our batteries for the rest of the league season and, above all, for the Copa and the Champions League, to try and win some silverware this year".
