Inter Milan defender has asked to be excluded from the player list registered for the third stage of Europa League which could be understood as a move that leaves him free to participate in Eufa Champions League edition next term with other clubs. Inter, however, did not accept the proposal from the Brazilian defender.
Maicon, who turned 31 last Thursday, has been linked with number of clubs including Real Madrid, Chelsea and mega-rich Anzhi recently.
Since his arrival to Inter Milan in 2006, Maicon has played 245 official matches for Serie A club and scored 20 goals in total. His price tag is about 5 million pounds.
