Manchester City's striker Emmanuel Adebayor sets to complete his move to Tottenham Hotspur in the next 48 hours. The transfer was thought to be over because of the Togolese's wage demand but Andre Villas-Boas is now increasingly confident that he could get his man. Manchester City are expected to agree 5-million-pound transfer fee and subsidize the 28-year-old wages.
Tottenham Hotspur have just brought in Belgium international Jan Vertonghen and former TSG Hoffenheim's player Gylfi Sigurdsson but are now desperate to boost their strikeforce with only Defoe the senior forward in the rank.
