Real Madrid are plotting a shock move to bring David Beckham back to Spain.
The idea of re-signing the superstar as a club ambassador has been floated by the La Liga giants, with president Florentino Perez known to be a huge admirer of Beckham's global appeal.
Upon confirming his imminent departure from the LA Galaxy, the former Manchester United midfielder said he wanted 'one last challenge', suggesting he wants to continue playing.
But Real hope the magic of Madrid will be enough to convince him to hang up his boots.
Even if Beckham continues playing, it is understood Perez will not give up on his attempts to take the veteran back to the Bernebeu in a non-playing role in the future.
Beckham has a host of options when he leaves the MLS after December 1, with Paris St Germain, Flamengo, Corinthians, as well as a number of Chinese, Australian and Middle Eastern clubs all vying for his signature.
