Luka Modric will fly to Madrid for a medical ahead of completing a switch from White Hart Lane after Jose Mourinho's side made a breakthrough in transfer talks.
Tottenham chairman Levy did not hide his intention to hold on one of the club's biggest assets and was heavily criticised breaking his promise with the player. The Premier League club has now appeared to agree a reported 30m-pound offer from Real Madrid and Modric is expected to be part of Mourinho's squad in the next two days.
