Arsenal are reluctant to lose their captain to Premier League rivals and have set an asking price of 20m pounds but Sir Alex Ferguson's side refuse to pay that much for the 29-year-old with only one year in his contract. The transfer talks have been accordingly stalled. But the situation may be changed after Manchester United side prepare to offer 15m pounds in cash plus add-ons to smooth the deal that makes Robin van Persie the fourth signing at Old Trafford this summer.
Robin van Persie, who topped the scoring chart in Premier League last season with 30 goals, is currently in Belgium on international duty with Netherlands.
