Barcelona ace Andres Iniesta spoke of his delight to be named on the shortlist for UEFA's Best Player in Europe Award: "It is an honor to be nominated among the three finalists' Player of the Year Award in Europe alongside Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo" The 28-year-old Spaniard then turned to give thanks to his team-mates as "without them he would not be nominated".
Meanwhile, Iniesta's national team-mate Iker Casillas has admitted he has not been surprised at being not among the last three names as "Christian, Messi and Iniesta are three phenomena" and tipped C. Ronaldo or Iniesta to win the award.
