Top 5 Premier League Overrated Players

January 01, 2013

4. Andy Carroll

Much was expected from the towering striker when he completed British-record transfer to Liverpool in January, 2011. Andy Carroll, then enjoyed his debut Premier League season with Newcastle, was brought in to fill the void left by Chelsea-bound Fernando Torres but the 24-year-old did never live up to the expectations.

In fact, the Englishman could never be a 15-goal-a-season striker. He has a fierce left-footed shot, his physical attribute is also a strength but those are all he has.

He has been consistently acused of being poor in the air, awkward with the ball in his feet, lack of predator instinct that have been shown in numerous cases.

Moving to West Ham could be his best possible choice and he may well be in where he really is.
