CHELSEA are set to move on from life after Frank Lampard by snapping up Real Betis midfielder Benat.
Lampard, who is out of contract at Stamford Bridge in the summer, has been told he will not be offered a new deal by the Champions League winners.
And Chelsea have already begun to target replacements for the England international, according to reports.
The west Londoner's are thought to have had an £8million bid for Benat rejected by Betis, suggests Spanish newspaper AS.
But the La Liga side are braced for a further bid from Chelsea for the 25-year-old.
A source close to the Blues told AS that owner Roman Abramovich is willing to stump up a lot more for the Spain international.
Benat is reported to have a £16million release clause in his current contract.
