The ex-Atlético Madrid player Paulo Futre said that if the current 'rojiiblanco' Radamel Falcao signs for Real Madrid it would be "a nightmare" for him and his family to live in the capital. Futre also said he's expecting his old club to triumph at the Camp Nou this Sunday.
"If he signs for Madrid it'd be really hard for him to live in Madrid. It would be a nightmare to live there. His CV is great but it'd be a complete nightmare on a daily basis for him and for his family", said Futre to the programme 'Esports on Xarxa', as Europa Press reported.
Future called Falcao's exploits "miraculous", adding that "he doesn't fail to deliver in the big matches." "He loves pressure; he's phenomenal. It'll depend a lot on Falcao. If a team that can pay his clause appears and Falcao goes it'll be because he wants to leave Atleti", he pointed out.
For the Portuguese, Messi and Falcao are the two superstars of the moment because they're "key players, fundamental." "They're two of the best in the world and in history. Falcao is the best striker in the world", he stated.
He considers Barça would be "much stronger" with Falcao. "That'd be a fantastic team. Falcao could fit in at Barcelona; he's a phenomenon. Messi and Falcao together would be incredible. But I think he'll stay on at Atleti. Atleti will make an effort, they'll raise his salary and he'll stay", affirmed Futre.
In any case, he wouldn't want to see an even stronger 'blaugrana' team ahead of Atlético's visit to the Camp Nou on Sunday. "We're having a great season. We're being really consistent and we're six points from the leaders who are a great Barcelona. Let's see how Sunday's game goes. A draw would be perfect."
"If we stay six points away we'll keep dreaming of being the big surprise and winning the Liga. If we lose, that dream is practically over", he said. "Today I think that as long as we don't lose in Barcelona we can win the Liga."
"Barça are really strong but their players are human. They're having a season that's out of this world. But I think they're humans and they have to slip up eventually", he concluded.
