ARSENAL could be parting company with Johan Djourou in January.
The Swiss defender has become surplus to requirements this season, and has been restricted to Capital One Cup appearances for the Gunners.
Manager Arsene Wenger’s first choice pairing is Thomas Vermaelen and Per Mertesacker and Djourou could be given a way out of the club, as he is attracting interest from abroad.
Italian football website forzaitalianfootball.com has it that Napoli want to sign Djourou in January as they are looking for cover for Paolo Cannavaro who was involved in the Serie A scandal.
They also suggest that the future of Hugo Campagnaro is uncertain at Napoli which would facilitates Djourou’s move.
In total, Djourou has made 99 league appearances for the Gunners.
