David Moyes will hold clear-the-air talks with Marouane Fellaini on his return to Everton.
Fellaini stunned the Toffees when he was quoted as saying he will quit Goodison within a year.
The Belgium midfielder, currently on international duty, took to Facebook in a bid to set the record straight.
He wrote: “With Everton, I’m ready to play all this season to reach our goals. I am happy in Liverpool.”
But boss Moyes will want to get to the bottom of it all, having made the 24-year-old the club’s best-paid player on around £75,000 a week after handing him a new deal to 2016.
