Chelsea are considering a summer move for Malaga midfielder Isco.
The playmaker has attracted interest from all over Europe, most notably Manchester City.
Roberto Mancini was alerted to Isco’s situation late last year by the Premier League champions’ club’s new director of football, Txiki Begiristain, who knows the player from his time in Spain.
It was discovered that Malaga are seeking to extend the 20-year-old’s current deal at Estadio La Rosaleda, which would likely raise his release fee to in excess of £30million.
Malaga sit in fourth in La Liga, and the youngster has been instrumental to their early season success, contributing six goals from midfield in all competitions.
