Tuesday's KNVB-Beker Round-up

December 19, 2012

Tim Matavz scored twice as PSV Eindhoven eased to a 4-0 victory over Rijnsburgse Boys in the fourth round of the KNVB-Beker.

The defending champions are currently top of the Eredivisie and they continued the sort of form that has taken them there.

PSV were 3-0 up after 26 minutes through Stanislav Manolev's early opener before Matavz scored twice in four minutes. Kevin Strootman rounded things off midway through the second half.

AZ Alkmaar won 4-2 at Dordrecht 90 - although they were given a scare by their lower league hosts.

Dirk Marcellis, Jozy Altidore and Viktor Elm guided AZ to a three-goal lead after 29 minutes.

However, Moussa Kalisse (62) and a Lars Veldwijk penalty eight minutes from time set up an exciting finale.

Ruud Boymans struck for the Eredivisie side in the last minute to give them some breathing space.

Ten-man Den Bosch enjoyed a narrow 1-0 win over Cambuur Leeuwarden.

Tom Van Weert scored the only goal (36) and the hosts had to play with 10 men when Tim Hofstede was sent off midway through the second half.
