Paris Saint-Germain is on the verge of signing a new sponsorship deal worth close to €100M. The Parisian side is very close to an agreement with a Qatari bank that would net the club a huge injection of cash for team strengthening, and reports in France claim this could include the capture of Cristiano Ronaldo and José Mourinho.
Only a few days ago, Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, General-Secretary of the Qatari Olympic Committee and the right hand man of París Saint Germain owner Prince Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, confirmed the club's interest in signing the Real Madrid forward and the club's coach.
When asked by French TV station Canal + if there was any truth in the rumours that the club were interested in both, he answered: "Yes of course," before adding, "You have to be motivated to do what's best for your club and make the right investments at the right time."
"We are one of the best clubs in France, but we want to be the best in Europe and the World. We want to win the Champions League," he went on to say, summing up the lofty ambitions of the French club.
