Mauro Zarate will leave Italian giants Lazio during the January transfer window, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport.
Zarate is the highest paid player at the club, thanks to a reported €2.1m salary, but he is not part of the first team plans of boss Vladimir Petkovic.
The 25-year-old returned to Rome in the summer after a loan spell at Inter, but he has played in just one Serie A game so far this season.
The Gazzetta says that both parties have agreed that a split is the best option once the transfer window opens.
Genoa and Palermo are fans of the forward in Italy, while Malaga, Spartak Moscow and CSKA Moscow have also been paired with the South American.
