Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that Phil Jones could be available again in a couple of weeks.
Jones has been making good progress in his recovery from knee surgery and is almost ready to make a return to full training.
Ferguson does not anticipate that it will take long for Jones to get back into contention for a first-team spot and has indicated that United's next home game, against Queens Park Rangers on 24th November, could be a possible return date.
"Jones trains with the first team on Monday with the football side, which is good, and he should be available maybe 10 days after that so things are looking better that way," Ferguson told MUTV.
Ferguson also reiterated that Nemanja Vidic would not be rushed back following his own knee injury, with it looking increasingly likely that it will be 2013 until he returns.
"Nemanja is a long way off," confirmed Ferguson. "We can forget about him until after Christmas, I think."
