Inter Milan technical director Marco Branca believes the club are ahead of schedule with their performances this season, following the recent transformation of their squad.
The club saw a number of old faces leave the San Siro over the summer, such as Julio Cesar and Maicon, while they brought in plenty of new players, including the likes of Alvaro Pereira and Walter Gargano.
Despite the changes, the Nerazzurri have needed little time to acclimatise and currently find themselves in second place in Serie A, just four points behind leaders Juventus - following a ten game winning streak in all competitions, which came to an end in a 2-2 draw against Cagliari on Sunday.
"We thought we might need a little more time but in terms of our ability, we knew we'd made the right signings," Branca told Sky Italia.
"We're happy it's happened more quickly than expected, it's all down to the great work of Andrea Stramaccioni."
Branca cooled talk of further reinforcements being brought in in January to boost the club's title bid, citing the current financial climate in Europe as a major problem.
"It's not down to where we are in the table but there are other factors to consider," he said. "But at this moment in time there's no way we'll be investing in January for other reasons.
"It's the same situation in many other industry sectors. We're in an economic crisis."
