MANCHESTER CITY were last night being linked with a move for Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil.
German sources believe City have joined neighbours Manchester United in eyeing his situation at the Bernabeu.
The arrival at Real of Luka Modric from Spurs has put the squeeze on £30million-rated Ozil, 24.
The Germany playmaker was an unused substitute against City at the Etihad Stadium.
Another man who could soon be on City’s radar is Barcelona striker David Villa, 30, who is frustrated at not reclaiming a regular place after recovering from a broken leg.
City are prepared to allow Sweden striker John Guidetti, 20, to go out on loan in January with Bolton a possible destination.
