Arsenal ready to sell Emmanuel Frimpong

November 13, 2012

The Gunners are said to be open to offers for the 20-year-old after deciding not renew his current deal.

The Ghanaian, who has been at the club for 11 years, is thought to be surplus to requirements, with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger not convinced he will ever be good enough for the first team.

Wolves are said to be keen on the defensive midfielder following a loan spell he had at the club last season.

Frimpong only managed to play five games before damaging his cruciate ligament in his right knee but showed enough for the Midlands club to be interested in signing him.

Wolves are thought to prefer a deal that involves taking him on loan in January and then signing him permanently next summer when his contract runs out at Arsenal.

It is not yet known if Frimpong will be willing to drop down to the Championship.
