AC Milan's CEO, Adriano Galliani visited the offices at the Santiago Bernabeu yesterday to enquire about three Real Madrid players. The official word is that Galliani's visit to Madrid is for personal reasons, but the truth is that he put three names out on the table: Carvalho, Albiol and Kaká.
Milan's priority after an awful start to the season is to strengthen its defence, which is why the first thing Galliani did on his arrival at the Bernabeu was enquire about the Portuguese and the Spanish international. As soon as the name Albiol was mentioned, he was met with a resounding "no" from Florentino: "Albiol isn't for sale".
In Carvalho's case, it's the player who doesn’t want to leave Madrid at the moment. According to MARCA sources, Madrid would allow the Portuguese centre-back to leave on a free transfer as he doesn't figure in Mourinho's plans, but the footballer has once again turned down another offer.
Milan has offered him a two-and-a-half year deal and a salary totalling €9m, but Carvalho insists that his family is happy in Madrid and that he isn't considering a change of scenery.
Finally, Galliani again expressed an interest in signing Kaká. On the one hand, Real Madrid won't consider a loan deal and only wants to sell him, whilst on the other Kaká’s transfer fee is still too high for Milan.
