Rooney could be out for 4 weeks
August 26, 2012
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney could face being out of action for 4 weeks after suffering a deep gash on his thigh and knee following the challenge of Fulham's Rodallega.
Sir Alex Ferguson then confirmed the striker was sent to hospital and could be sidelined until late September.
"It's a very bad gash. He's been sent to hospital and I think he'll be out for four weeks," Sir Alex told Sky Sports.
"Rodellaga followed through after his shot. Obviously it was an accident."
