The Croatian is determined to leave Premier League outfit for a bigger club this summer but he may stay at White Hart Lane for another year as Real Madrid prepare to cool interest in him and turn their attention to Fulham's Dembele.
Dembele has been linked with a number of top clubs as the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United after outstanding performances for Martin Jol's side last season. The 25-year-old has only one year in his current contract with Fulham and is rated at £13m.
