Juventus eye Borriello as Llorente alternative
August 24, 2012
Juventus are considering to make a bid for AS Roma's striker Marco Borriello as the negotiations between the Turin club and La Liga outfir Athletic Bilbao over the transfer of Fernando Llorente have been once again stalled.
The Italian champions also had their 15m-euro bid for Manchester City's Edin Dzeko rejected while another target Stevan Jovetic is considered non-transferable by Fiorentina.
Marco Borriello, meanwhile, has been surplus to requirements to AS Roma since Luis Enrique took charge of the club last year and may welcome a return to Juventus where he spent the second half of the last season playing on loan. Juventus have an option to buy the 31-year-old for 8m euros as a part of the loan deal.
