Bayern to make 40m-euro bid for Javi Martinez
August 16, 2012
Bavaria giant Bayern Munich has been reported to make an offer worth 40 million euros for the service of Spanish international Javi Martinez, 23.
Javi Martinez, who was part of Spanish World Cup-winning squad, has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona and Bayern Munich this summer but all the transfer talks have been stalled due to high demand from Athletic Bilbao's President Urrutia. The transfer saga, however, seems to come to its close as Bayern show their determination to bring the defensive player to Alianz Arena by send a record-breaking 40m-euro offer to La Liga outfit.
If the deal come true, Javi Martinez will become the most expensive transfer in Bundesliga history.
