Newcastle United's Cheik Tiote has emerged as a £15m target for Arsenal as Arsene Wenger wants to bring a defensive midfielder to the Emirates stadium.
Cheik Tiote, 26, has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in recent transfer windows and as Newcastle have already signed Anita this summer, Arsenal hope they could beat their rivals for the Senegal inernational's signature.
Arsenal have also been linked with Ligue 1 duo Yann M'Vila and Yanga-Mbiwa to boost their options in defensive midfield position.
