Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has told his senior players that coach Jose Mourinho is staying.
Florentino returned to Madrid for the resumption of first team training earlier this week with the after-effects of their defeat to Malaga still being felt.
El Confidencial says he sought out senior players, including Iker Casillas, and made it clear to them that Mourinho would remain in charge this season - and the next.
For his part, Mourinho is feeling fully supported by Florentino and convinced the president's confidence will not waver.
"Fortunately, the decisions are still being made by the coach here," declared Mourinho last week.
