PSV are likely to be stripped of the services of Luciano Narsingh for the rest of the season due to a suspected damaged cruciate ligament.
The Netherlands winger played 77 minutes of the Eindhoven outfit's 6-1 demolition of NAC Breda in the Eredivisie a fortnight ago, adding himself to the scoresheet in the process, but it has emerged that he exacerbated a knock during the match.
"The PSV medical staff report that there is a suspicion of anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus injuries," reads a statement on the club's official website.
"They also report that it will be decided how the injury will be treated later in the week and the recovery time will then become clear."
The 22-year-old becomes the second PSV player to be struck down with a serious injury following Ola Toivonen, who remains sidelined with a hamstring setback.
Since his arrival in the summer from Heerenveen, Narsingh has scored six goals in 18 league appearances at the Philips Stadion.
