Germany coach Joachim Low has stated that he will not discuss a new contract with the Deutscher Fussball-Bund (DFB) this year, and is instead focusing on steering his country to the 2014 World Cup.
Low's current deal runs out after the tournament in Brazil, but he realises that the most important thing is not his own future, but that of die Mannschaft.
"Before the end of 2013 there will be no talks," the 52-year-old is reported as saying by DPA. "First of all we want to qualify for the World Cup in Brazil.
"Then I will consider things in peace with the Federation, and what further steps we will introduce."
Low came under fire over his free-flowing style of play after Germany were knocked out of Euro 2012 at the semi-final stage by Italy, and although he appreciates that the criticism was deserved, he is determined to stick to his principles.
"We want to attack again. We have confidence in our work. We are absolutely convinced of our concept, approach, plans and objectives," he continued.
"[The criticism] was legitimate, but I do not let it throw me off track. Our football is envied, we just need to develop a winning mentality in tournaments."
Germany face France in a friendly in February, before two World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan the following month.
