Cristiano Ronaldo will sport his groundbreaking new Nike CR Mercurial IX boots for the first time this Sunday at the Bernabéu. The boots have been customised to include all of Cristiano's achievements in the 2011-12 season, with the numbers 1-9-14-19-27-55-60 emblazoned across the surface.
The 1 refers to his first Spanish league title, the 9 and 14 to Ronaldo's goals and appearances for his country, the 19 to his record-breaking feat of scoring against all 19 'La Liga' rivals, the 27 to his age, the 55 to the number of competitive games he played for Madrid last season and the 60 to his goal tally for 'Los Blancos' in all competitions.
The boots feature an eye-catching colour scheme, with a white background, a bright pink swoosh and a striking 'CR7' graphic.
