When Aston Villa beat Liverpool 3-1 at Anfield in a 2012/13 Premier League match, the visitors' team had an average age of just 23 years and 309 days.
That result, coupled with a good run for Villa that has seen the club reach the last four of the Capital One Cup, has prompted renewed optimism that Paul Lambert's team have a bright future.
