St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang says he is unaware of reports that he has recently been watched by Manchester United.
Aubameyang has impressed since joining St Etienne from AC Milan and has regularly been linked with a move to the Premier League.
Aston Villa, Liverpool and Newcastle United have previously been mooted as admirers of the Gabon international, who had loan spells at Dijon, Lille and Monaco earlier in his career.
However, reports in both Gabon and France have claimed that scouts from United and Tottenham Hotspur watched Aubameyang during St Etienne's draw with Bordeaux on Thursday night.
The 23-year-old told reporters: "Manchester United? That must mean I am doing well to be watched by such a club, but I am not aware of it."
St Etienne coach Christophe Galtier has previously insisted that Aubameyang will not be sold during the season and will have to wait until next summer before he can move.
Speculation, though, has claimed that a bid in excess of €15million (£12.2m) could persuade St Etienne to cash in on the forward during the January transfer window.
