Scolari: Mourinho is my 'Coach of the Year'

December 04, 2012

Brazil's new national coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari, has stated that he'd give the 'Best Manager' prize to Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho, because of his work with Real Madrid, but also because of his career path.

"I would choose José Mourinho because I think he's one of the greatest managers in the world, and because he's done a fantastic job right from when he started with Porto, then with Chelsea, Inter Milan, and now with Real Madrid. Because of his continuous work I'd give the prize to Mourinho", he explained in statements made on FIFA's website.

Similarly, 'Felipao', as he’s affectionately known, thinks that Cristiano Ronaldo deserves to win the Ballon d'Or. "I've seen them all play, although I've only worked with Cristiano, and I think that because of his path with Manchester United, the Portuguese squad and with Real Madrid he deserves that recognition. I'd vote for him", he underlined.

"He's been spectacular for four or five years, and he's only won it once. I'd choose him, and also because I've worked with him I know his dedication, I know how much work he puts into his physical and technical abilities, to improve and achieve his target of being the best in the world", he added.
