Paulinho wants Corinthians stay

December 17, 2012

Paulinho has reiterated his desire to remain at newly-crowned Club World Cup champions Corinthians for the foreseeable future.

Speculation continues to suggest the Brazil international is a January target for clubs across Europe.

Inter Milan are known to have made an approach in the past, while the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea are said to be keen.

Paulinho is aware of the speculation, but sees no reason why he would want to move on.

He helped Corinthians to claim the title of best club side on the planet on Sunday, beating Chelsea in the final, and insists he has no intention of leaving his homeland any time soon.

"I'm staying at Corinthians," he told Esporte iG.

"There were lots of rumours that I could possibly leave the club, that there are talks, but I have never been aware of anything concrete, apart from Inter Milan, which everyone knows about.

"The more titles you win, the more you want to win. That's what everyone says, and I say that too."
