Leo Messi is now on holiday in his hometown of Rosario (Argentina). He arrived in the early hours of Monday morning, local time and he’ll stay there until 2nd January when he’s due to return to train in Barcelona with the rest of the squad.
The striker travelled to Argentina accompanied by his girlfriend Antonella and his eight-week-old son Thiago, who is visiting his parents' country for the first time.
"I'm now in Rosario with my whole family. My parents came to pick us up from the airport. It's very hot in my hometown, but I'm glad to be home", the Barça superstar commented on his ‘Weibo’ account.
"I ended up happy with the goals and records, but the year could have been better in terms of titles. I always say that what matters is the collective and my goals, no titles, no matter.
"The arrival of Thiago was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. It was a very special moment in my life", Barça superstar said in the Catalan newspaper 'Mundo deportivo'.
