MAICON is ready to quit Manchester City – and make an instant return to Inter Milan.
The Brazil international has started just four Premier League games since his £3.5m summer arrival from the Italian club.
Right-back Maicon has failed to settle in the North West and is only boss Roberto Mancini’s second choice behind Pablo Zabaleta because Micah Richards is out injured.
The 31-year-old spent six years with Inter, winning the Champions League and four Serie A titles with them.
And he is understood to have asked Mancini to let him return to the San Siro next month.
Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni wants Maicon, with fellow Brazilian right-back Cicero Jonathan set to be offloaded.
