Lampard set for QPR with Pjanic lined up as his replacement

December 17, 2012

Frank Lampard is weighing up a move to QPR after falling out of favour at Chelsea.

The veteran midfielder is out of contract in the summer but he may hasten his exit after being snubbed by Rafael Benitez for Chelsea's Club World Cup semi-final against Monterrey, reports the Sunday People.

Despite Ramires being out injured Benitez opted to use David Luiz in an unfamiliar midfield role rather than turn to the 34-year-old England international.

Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is looking to strengthen his squad in January and he is thought to be interested in a deal to bring his nephew to Loftus Road.

The Blues are interested in bringing Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic to Stamford Bridge as a replacement for Lampard. The 22-year-old Bosnian international is rated at £14million.
