Juventus have contacted Borussia Dortmund to enquire about the availability of prolific striker Robert Lewandowski, Goal.com has revealed.
The Serie A champions have made the Poland international their primary target on the transfer market, and are looking to orchestrate a deal as soon as possible in order to beat any potential rivals to the 24-year-old's signature.
Juve sent BVB a fax this week in order to find out their asking price, and now await the Bundesliga titleholders' response.
Dortmund are keen to hold on to Lewandowski, but the striker's refusal to extend his current deal until 2014 could prompt them to cash-in on the attacker at the end of the 2012-13 campaign.
The Bianconeri are willing to spent €25 million on Lewandowski, but face stiff competition from Manchester United and Manchester City in the race for the prolific hitman's services.
