Italian source TuttoMercato suggest that Everton are the latest side to take an interest in Marseille striker Loic Remy.
David Moyes would appear to have more than enough striking options having managed a healthy 27 goals in 16 Premier League matches and have seen Marouane Fellaini and Nikica Jelavic net regularly, however perhaps the Toffees are keen on cementing their push for a top four finish by bringing in more attacking options.
Remy has finished as Marseille’s top scorer in both of the last two campaigns but has seen his first team opportunities severely limited under new boss Elie Baup.
This source claims the Ligue 1 side are willing to accept offers of £8m and though that may seem a fairly decent price for an experienced French international it is a fairly big chunk of money for the cash-strapped Goodison Park side to fork out.
Moyes may hope that Bill Kenwright will be able to make such funds available when the transfer window re-opens next month given that Everton sold youngster Jack Rodwell to Man City for a fee of £15m.
