CHELSEA owner Roman Abramovich is ready to unleash a £150million strike force on the Premier League in the new year.
The Russian billionaire is preparing a £50m bid for Atletico Madrid superstar Radamel Falcao, to link up with his other £50m striker Fernando Torres.
Next up will be a £35m move for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian hitman Willian, while Belgian starlet Romelu Lukaku, for whom Chelsea paid Anderlecht £18m last year, could also be recalled from his loan spell at West Brom, making a total of £153m-worth of striking talent available to manager Rafa Benitez.
Abramovich is understood to have already invited Colombian ace Falcao – who has scored 43 goals in 50 Primera League games, plus a stunning hat-trick against Chelsea in the European Super Cup final – to visit the club’s training complex.
Stand-in boss Benitez last night hinted at the January swoops, which would boost Chelsea’s season as well as providing support and competition for their lone striker Torres.
