RAFA BENITEZ has pledged to win over the Chelsea haters by blowing away opponents with fantasy football.
Sunday’s 8-0 annihilation of hapless Aston Villa was still not enough to get the Stamford Bridge supporters singing their manager’s name.
But at least they have stopped booing the Spaniard, who took over from fans’ favourite Robbie Di Matteo in controversial circumstances.
After watching his team blast an impressive 25 goals in his nine games in charge, Benitez said: “My job is to get results by bringing the best football from the players. And I am sure that the fans will start to appreciate this. It is just a question of time.
“The team and its organisation is important to me. Some people see that as a defensive mentality but it is all geared towards being attacking.
“I have always had an attacking mentality because I came from Real Madrid.”
