David Beckham is set to join Paris Saint Germain for the rest of the season.
The French club hope to clinch the England superstar’s signing next month when he leaves LA Galaxy.
And Beckham has personally recommended that Kaka should be signed as his replacement.
MLS club Galaxy have confirmed their interest in Kaka, but Sunday Mirror Sport can reveal Beckham has acted as the go-between.
Beckham has spoken to Kaka about the MLS and what life is like in LA.
It is understood the Brazilian star has also held informal discussions with Galaxy officials.
Galaxy had been tracking Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, but Beckham’s involvement has helped Kaka jump to the top of the club’s wishlist.
A source close to Galaxy claimed the club are unlikely to try to sign both Kaka and Lampard, and that their efforts are currently concentrated on the Real Madrid midfielder.
Beckham is contracted to immediately go on a 10-day end-of-season tour with Galaxy after playing his final game for the club last night.
Harry Redknapp and QPR were leading the chase last week and will be disappointed not to get their man.
