Former Germany captain Michael Ballack has rubbished reports he has already organised a farewell retirement match, but admitted that he would be interested in the idea.
Reports in Germany suggested that the 36-year-old, who retired in October, had planned a charity game involving a number of his ex-team-mates and coaches, including Bastian Schweinsteiger, Ashley Cole, Didier Drogba and Jose Mourinho.
But the former Bayer Leverkusen talisman revealed that nothing has been confirmed, though talks are taking place over a possible encounter during the summer.
"It's a fact that I would love to do a farewell game and we are in negotiations," he told Sky Sports.
"But I have to smile, as we do not have a date and no stadium, so nothing is fixed. If there is something to announce at some point, then I'll do it. Anything else is speculation at the moment."
The 2002 World Cup runner-up also admitted he would like to go back to his roots to celebrate his career, though he reiterated that nothing is yet set in stone.
"I am of course from Saxony. These are my roots so I would like them to be represented too. Nothing has been decided."
