AC Milan have no intention to sell Robinho

December 03, 2012

AC Milan have again denied speculation that they could offload Robinho or Alexandre Pato in January.

It has been reported that the two could go as Milan attempt to reduce the size of their squad, with Robinho having been linked with a return to his former club Santos.

But club vice-president Adriano Galliani said: "Santos may be interested in Robinho, but it is not our intention to sell."

He said no offers had been received for any Milan players and added: "There are 32 players in the squad, and if nobody leaves then nobody will come in.

"We'll have to sell first and then buy, otherwise we'll stay as we are."

Galliani said any move for Mario Balotelli - Milan have been linked with the Manchester City striker, with club owner Silvio Berlusconi reportedly keen on a bid - would depend on players being offloaded.

"Balotelli? It's a sentimental matter, but we'd have to get down to 26-27 players for him to arrive because there really are too many of us," he added. "If five don't go, there will be no new signings."
