Galliani: Referees did not favour Milan in Inter win

November 20, 2012

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliaini has insisted that Inter were not harshly treated in the Nerazzurri's 1-0 win over the Rossoneri last month.

The match was settled by an early Walter Samuel strike, but Riccardo Montolivo had an effort close to the end of the first half disallowed due to an alleged foul.

Galliani believes that some decisions should have gone in their favour during the San Siro clash, and dismissed any suggestion of a bias towards Andrea Stramaccioni's men.

"As far as I’m concerned, we were certainly not favoured in the derby and I heard no complaints. We had a good goal disallowed and we were not given a penalty," he told reporters.

"Last season we suffered the worst refereeing mistake and we caused a bit of trouble, but not that much …"

Finally, the 68-year-old revealed that he plans to have club president Silvio Berlusconi visit the first team squad ahead of their match against the Bianconeri next weekend.

"It's true. I have asked him to come to Milanello on Saturday. I asked him if he could clear his schedule so that he could be with us."

Milan currently sit 12th in Serie A, and have a Champions League trip to Anderlecht on Wednesday.
