Vidic sets for return

Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic will make a long-waiting return to the pitch before the new season, hints Sir Alex Ferguson. The Serbian suffered a cruciate knee ligaments injury last December and was sidelined for the rest of the last season, missing Manchester United's title-run with Manchester City.

Vidic is currently with his team-mates on their European pre-season tour in Norway where they will play Valerenga and Barcelona before moving to Germany to play their last preseason game against Hannover.
